About
To battle the problem of access, and to bridge the gap between the underprivileged communities and resources for entrepreneurship and execution of ideas, Go Public, an educational social initiative aimed at imparting the necessary skills for entrepreneurship within communities that could potentially benefit from it the most, was founded.
As part of Go Public, the aim is to impart skill sets and learning opportunities to changemakers of tomorrow who would otherwise face the obstacles of gate-kept chances. A Go Public Workbook, as a part of the Go Public project, combines the nuances of finance, investing, entrepreneurship, phases of ideation, finding investment opportunities and target markets, and delivers it in the form of educational chapters curated by both experts and my personal experience in the field.
To put theory into practice, Go Public Workshops form a large part of this initiative, aimed at implementing the learning from the workbook into a more real environment, where students have the chance to come to terms with the results of their ideation. Over the course of the sessions under the Go Public Workshops, participants would get the chance to learn about finance, investing and market research among other things.
In collaboration with an NGO, a summer learning program extends the learning to multiple-day workshops, conducted by experts in the field of finance and investing, making space for the participants to present their ideas to a panel of judges. As a final part of its outreach , Go Public is raising funds to be handed to the collaborating NGO so as to help with the day-to-day activities of the organization.
