HAQ: Centre for Child Rights
Founded in 1999, HAQ: Centre for Child Rights is an organization committed to protecting and promoting children's rights in India. The organization operates within the frameworks of the Indian Constitution and international conventions, particularly the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. HAQ engages in research, advocacy, and capacity-building to integrate child rights into governance and development. Some of their key projects include the "Budget for Children" initiative, which analyzes government spending on children, and the "Child Protection" program, focusing on addressing abuse, exploitation, and legal aid for children in distress. Project Go Public! is honored to partner with HAQ and support their efforts for better educational access in India.
